Life Is Good

Gosh, I have been posting daily on our webpage, www.coulsoncastle.ca but I have forgotten all about this place! Silly me! Anyway here we are in Desert Hot Springs where we have spent the winter and have enjoyed sunny weather everyday. Last night it rained and it is the first rainfall we have seen or heard in over 4 months and I was surprised to find that I liked it. Now don't get me wrong, I am not suggesting for a minute that I want to move to a rainbelt but I did enjoy listening to the rain as it beat on the roof last night.

We are staying at Catalina Spa and RV Park and we love it here. Catalina Spa is part of the RPI (Resort Parks International) RPI (Resort Parks International) system which allows us to stay at affilliated parks throughout North America for $8 a night, a pretty good deal. Here we pay $2.50 a night and that is for full hookups: water, electricity, sewage and cable TV.

We've had a busy winter, the kids have come to visit, their Grandma has been to visit and my sister and her husband are coming to visit soon. We have both flown back to Ontario seperately once each and Rick has been to Vancouver once. We also went to Cancun for a one week holiday to see the ruins and it was great.
Yup life is good!

Strange Weather

Am I just wildly making assumptions or has the effect of the earthquake in the Indian Ocean on the 26th of December altered the weather worldwide? Since December 28th California is experiencing rains like never before, Vancouver has had lasting snowfalls for the past week, England and the Scandinavian countries are experiencing devastating flooding and Ontario is having very warm weather one day followed by sub-zero weather the next. I did hear that the earthquake caused the tilt of the earth to shift ever so slightly and if that is the case it doesn't take a scientist to figure that worldwide the weather will change as a result.
I can't find any verification of any of this but I can verify that the weather has become very wonky since the earthquake.

Kayaking at False Creek in Vancouver, BC Posted by Hello

Where More Can Be Found

Last year at around this time, I started to journal daily about us and our journey. We have sold our conventional house and now live and travel around in a motorcoach. The purpose of this was so that we could explore the continent and like a turtle, take our home with us. The webpage associated with us is www.coulsoncastle.ca. There is a lot more there because it starts in December 2003. Please feel free to check it out.
