A few weeks ago, we drove across the upper states from Ontario to Mission, BC.
When we were in Bozeman, Montana, there was a heavy, smoky haze sitting over the area; a telltale sign of a forest fire burning somewhere.
We'd heard of a big fire burning in northern Montana and yesterday driving south from Waterton park in Alberta, we came across a huge area devastated by fire.
It looked like charcoal standing and was such a contrast from the lush green and yellow forest we had been in earlier.
